Arizona (16-0), one of the better college basketball teams to come around in a few years, plays in a deep conference but one with few elite teams. That combination means they have an outside chance at an undefeated season.

The Wildcats continue their journey tonight at 9:00 pm EST at USC (9-6, 0-2). In their last game, they built a semi-comfortable lead against UCLA (12-3, 1-1), let it get close at the end, but finished the Bruins in the clutch with a 79-75 - behind the all too rare backdrop of Bill Walton's commentary.

Arizona's roster is so complementary one tends to forget about their top scorer, Nick Johnson, amid high profile freshman Aaron Gordon and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, versatile forward Brandon Ashely, slick dishing point guard T.J. McConnel, and fiery big man Kaleb Tarczewski. Though only Aaron Gordon is projected to land in the NBA next season via the draft, all four names mentioned have a good chance at entering the league.

"We're undefeated and we'll keep it like that if we can keep churning out wins and not worry about who our opponent is or how special it is, and just play our game," Johnson said.

Bidding for Arizona's first loss this year is a USC team with only one solid win on their resume, an 84-78 win over Xavier on Nov. 30. They've also been blown out in conference by UCLA, 107-73, and Arizona State, 79-60. Their leading scorer is Byron Wesley, a 6-foot-5 guard who's improved quite significantly from last season's 10 ppg and 44 percent shooting (not 17 and 46).

Eleven points would seem a little kind towards Arizona, even if the game is on USC's home court. Still, a conference game is a conference game. Already worth watching for Arizona's beautifully constructed roster, the game also warrants a watch because both are members of the PAC-12.
