Anyone who grew up writing notes in school would love the Samsung Staedtler digital pencil. They call it the Noris Digital.

The Samsung Staedtler S pen is highly likely to become a popular accessory for stylus-friendly tablets in the near future. In fact, it is expected to arrive alongside the Galaxy Tab S3 in March. Here are details you probably do not want to miss.

Specs & appearance

According to Independent UK, the Samsung Staedtler pencil detects 4,096 levels of pressure like its predecessor. It can be used to create virtual notes and drawings on a digital paper such as a tablet in a very seamless manner. Also, the pen doubles the length of a traditional stylus but feels light nonetheless.

However, no device can accommodate it as of now. The extra size and nostalgic looks of the Samsung Staedtler pencil still appear enough to entice customers. The Noris Digital is colored black and green. Apparently, this move was to separate it from the iconic black and gold variant.

Aside from the color, the Samsung Staedtler writing tool does not differ much from an old school, graphite-and-wood pencil. It even matched the actual measurement and weight of the original Noris pen. Designed to work with the Galaxy Book as well, the Samsung Staedtler creative stylus may hit the market next month.

Digital writing

Staedtler told the press that skills like writing or drawing and crafting are "necessary roles in the digital world". The firm added that these skills build a foundation for "human development." With the Samsung Staedtler deal finalized, both companies could bridge the gap between the traditional and modern way of writing.

Per The Verge, none of the companies involved issued a formal statement regarding the Noris Digital's price and other specs. Consequently, given the reaction of people who attended the MWC 2017, the Samsung Staedtler pencil is a potential best-seller in its category. As a matter of fact, it is currently dubbed to be way better than the revamped Apple Pencil.
