Xperia XZ Premium is touted as the world's first 4K HDR smartphone. Sony introduced Xperia XZ Premium and XZs at MWC 2017 with a slightly different hardware setup.

Xperia XZ Price, Release Date Unconfirmed

Xperia XZs will reportedly sell for $700 on April 5. Xperia XA1 will have a later launch date, on April 26, and will sell for $300. The Xperia XZ Premium will be launched in Spring but the price is unconfirmed, GSM Arena reported.

Xperia XZ Premium specs are what most leaks have claimed previously. It sports a 5.5-inch display and runs on Android Nougat. The camera pairs 19 MP rear sensor and 13 MP front-facing camera. The best camera feature would be its slow-motion capability with high quality up to 960 fps.

Xperia XZ Premium gets a fingerprint scanner on its rear panel but apparently US consumers won't be getting the feature at all. Specs-wise, Sony brings massive upgrades to the flagship but the success highly depends on how much it will cost.

Xperia XZ Premium: The Fans Debate

The hands-on reviews have created online hype. Tech Radar is one of the media outlet that did a review on Xperia XZ Premium on YouTube - which quickly garnered attention from the fans. Here's what they dislike the most!

Bezel

Sony is persistence in designing flagships with bezels. The tech crowds expect Xperia XZ to have a bezel-less display but it looks like Sony wants to stand out from the crowd by retaining its signature, the rectangular shape smartphone.

4K display

Xperia XZ Premium's 4K display is able to produce breathtaking colors but many have questioned whether it is necessary for a smartphone to have such a huge pixel density (801 ppi). For 4K gaming, the display does give wonderful view. Steve Jobs once said that human's eyes cannot fully distinguish sharpness beyond 300 ppi, according to Ubergizmo.
