Only little has been known about "Shadow of War" a sequel to "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor". But thanks to Target's, many will now know about the most-awaited game. The US retailer's premature listing, which has since been deleted, reveals "Shadow of War's" major plot.
Target's Listing Accidentally Reveals Sequel
The American retailer Target's posting revealed that players will once again embark on an epic journey of conquering lands and defeating enemies with the use of the Nemesis system, Euro Gamer reported. What's different is you get to play like Sauron and actually forge your own ring. It might not be the ring to rule them all but it's cool as hell.
The posting reveals that players will forge a Ring of Power to defeat their enemies and conquer fortresses. These massive battles will lead players and their Orc armies into Mordor. The final battle will of course be confronting the Ringwraiths of Dark Lord Sauron and the Dark Lord himself.
"Shadow of War" will be available in Gold edition and opens an access for four expansions. These expansions are "Outlaw" and "Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion, "The Blade of Galadriel Story", and "The Desolation of Mordor Story."
The sequel will be released on 22 August, 2017 and is priced at $59.99. The gold Edition is priced at $100, which will also come with the "Gold War Chest." Nemesis expansions store new Orc tribe, new missions, and new enemies. The story expansions will be introducing new characters and new campaigns, IGN reported.
What Fans Can Expect From The Sequel
According to the reports, "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" will continue on the story of the characters Celebrimbor and Talion. Both of them are working on a Ring of Power to match with Sauron's.
Warner Bros. has yet to comment about Target's mistake. But some are doubtful that it's an erratic slip-up from Target's. For all gamers know, it could be a clever marketing strategy to wet the beaks of those who cannot wait for "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" sequel, "Middle-earth: Shadow of War."
