Veteran Telltale Developers Hired By Ubisoft San Francisco; In for ‘South Park: The Fractured But Whole’
ByUbisoft San Francisco recently announced additions to their roster four industry professionals who were once Telltale Games employees.
Ubisoft announced the new hires are senior design directors Dennis Lenart and Nick Herman, narrative director Pierre Shorette and creative producer Adam Sarasohn. They are known to have worked on various Telltale game projects such as "The Walking Dead," "Minecraft: Story Mode," "The Wolf Among Us" and "Tales from the Borderlands."
Ubisoft San Francisco executive producer Francois Pelland excitedly welcomed the new addition of the industry veterans to be part of its skilled team citing the four industry veterans will deliver their expertise in breathing new life to superb narratives in future Ubisoft projects, according to GameSpot.
Pelland seems to hint that the four veterans are the just the start of Ubisoft's hire considering the company is continually expanding their portfolio of games. Accordingly, Ubisoft is looking to hire the best talent in the industry in its attempt to infuse teams with a shared passion for development.
IGN reported that Lenart, Herman, Shorette and Sarasohn were hired based on the company's desire to expand its narrative creative pool, said Ubisoft. Citing the four's involvement in successful titles, Ubisoft could have struck gold, which would be good news to future Ubisoft offerings.
All four will be working on future Ubisoft projects, though the company did not disclose details what projects the four will work on. Currently, Ubisoft is still working on "South Park: The Fractured But Whole," which was delayed, yet again.
It would be interesting to know what projects Ubisoft has for the Telltale veterans and why it snagged four strong movers from Telltale. It could be their initial outing with the company has to be to finish "South Park: The Fractured But Whole." We will update this report as soon as information becomes available.
