Microsoft remains tight-lipped regarding its upcoming Surface Phone. Nonetheless, rumors, leaks and news about the Microsoft Surface Phone are making rounds online as the device is about to be launched.

Some leaks actually prove that Microsoft is indeed working on the Surface Phone and the latest Surface tablet may be released soon. There are reports that the Taiwanese electronics manufacturing company, Pegatron, has already kicked off the procuring production trials on the Microsoft Surface Phone design. The Taiwanese tech company is responsible for manufacturing the powerful and gorgeous all-in-one PC, Surface Studio, according to PC Advisor.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella referred the Microsoft Surface Phone as the ultimate mobile device. The work on the upcoming device is currently underway, and the device will roll out in three variants, such as the Consumer, Business and Premium. There are speculations that the Microsoft Surface Phone will be revealed alongside the arrival of Redstone 3.

The Microsoft Surface Phone is said to come along with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, coupled with an 8GB of RAM as well as a 512GB storage option. The Surface Phone might also have a 5.5-inch QHD display, 1 Red Drop reported. The upcoming Microsoft device may roll out with 64-bit Intel processor. The device is said to have a 21MP rear facing snapper and the front-facing shooter is believed to be an 8MP.

Nevertheless, as Microsoft claimed that Windows 10 will be the last version of Windows, the Microsoft Surface Phone may also run on the operating system. With the rumored specs of the Microsoft Surface Phone, the device is said to go head to head with the upcoming iPhone 7s and iPhone 8. That being said, as the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) is just around the corner, a number of tech fans are speculating that the Microsoft Surface Phone will be announced during the event.
