Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) will not go head-to-head against the upcoming Xbox One Scorpio and has been reportedly sticking to its 6-year gap for its next generation consoles. One reasonable speculation for this move is that the nature of the upcoming Xbox console, specifically because it was created to unseat PS$ which stature has become the default console for the current generation of gamers.

According to Wedbush Analyst Michael Patcher who shared his assessment in his YouTube Channel SIFTD Games, PS5 or any bit of hardware from Sony is set to match up the powerful Scorpio lineup. It is no brainer that PS4 is the dominant player nowadays. In addition, PS4 Pro has contributed a more powerful impact on the brand.

So basically the most relevant target for Xbox One Scorpio is the PS5 but to eradicate PS4's dominance in this range.
