The famous Wix website builder bought DeviantArt for $36 Million. What can we get from the huge partnership?

DeviantArt's corporate growth is mainly due to word of mouth. In fact, almost no investment was made for the site's marketing strategies. Now, it is poised to move towards a bigger stage with over 40 million registered users. The Wix website builder closed the deal last Feb 22.

Wix website builder develops DeviantArt

According to Tech Crunch, DeviantArt users will get access to Wix's web design tools. The Wix website builder intends to broaden DeviantArt's dynamic online presence too. To top it all, these tools are believed to cover commerce and trade as well instead of basic design only.

Moreover, the Wix website builder gives fans a full access to DeviantArt's creative library. For one thing, this will add to Wix's varied suite of building tools like the Artificial Design Intelligence. Lastly, Wix President Nir Zohar confirmed that their firm is developing a paid subscription service for photographers and musicians.

Well, the deal may require more investments for DeviantArt's desktop and mobile app developments in the coming years. Currently, the desktop feature works on a simple, pared-down interface. Avishai Amrahami, Wix website builder co-founder, acknowledged the success of DeviantArt over the last 16 years. He cited DeviantArt's impressive online community of artists hungry for additional product expertise.

"We look forward to being part of the Wix team, and we are humbled by the respect and love they have shown to our community," Sotira noted. Meanwhile, the Wix website builder is currently valued at $2.86 billion. With its DeviantArt acquisition, its revenue may increase by about $8 million to $417 million - $419 million. Consequently, its collection outlook will rise by around $9 million to $461 million - $467 million.
