The Durants are now less than $4,000 away from the $20,000 mark necessary to pay for their three year old's son's anticipated medical bill. Among a variety of other medical conditions already accounted for, doctors haven't been able to pinpoint the boy's inability to blink.

The six month campaign on gofundme.com, which helps individuals raise private funds for all types of causes, climaxed over the last day or so when Corbin Durant's story went viral. His is among the site's 12 "most popular" causes (and fourth most lucrative of that group), including the Jahi McMath fund, started to keep the 13 year-old girl alive after a routine tonsil surgery left her brain dead.

As of 9:00 AM Monday morning, the total was "just over $10,000," according to FOX. When I first summarized the story last night at around 11:30, the money stood at $13,913. Today, at 3:20 PM EST, it's at $16,073. The $20,000 mark could be hit by tomorrow and maybe sooner if one opportunistic funder wishes to modify his or her gift to be the final one to reach 20k.

The largest gift given today was $250 by an anonymous user. A few others left random numbers of $118, $18, and $14. Some added a note, wishing Corbin luck, providing the family advice, and, in one case, comparing the boy to a donator's son. Still, a majority of the donations were anonymous.

The Durants will use the money at the famed Mayo Clinic, where they expect to at least receive a diagnosis. Corbin's condition is thought to be worsening, so hopefully for the family, the mark is reached over the next few days. At this rate, that shouldn't be a problem.
