‘Pokemon Go’ Tips & Tricks: Another Way To Evolve Eevee Into Espeon And Umbreon; Catching Togetic Easier
ByGood news for Pokemon trainers who are trying to evolve Eevee in "Pokemon Go," there is a new way to evolve the Pokemon into Espeon and Umbreon other than renaming before evolving. Additionally, it would now be easier to catch Togetic.
In a previous "Pokemon Go" report, it stated that renaming Eevee to Sakura prior to candy feeding makes it evolve into Epseon, and renaming it to Tamao makes it evolve into Umbreon. It has been discovered since that this trick works only once. The new trick, however, will work multiple times.
After diligent research over a period of several days, Pokemon Go Hub reported that there is another way to ensure Eevee to evolve into one of its new forms in "Pokemon Go." It is determined that certain criteria have to be met to ensure successful Eevee evolution into either Espeon or Umbreon.
- The trainer needs to walk 10km and collect two candies with Eevee as the player's Buddy.
- Eevee must be set as the player's current buddy during its evolution.
- If the player wants an Espeon (dark), evolve Eevee during the day.
- If however, the player wants Umbreon (psychic), Eevee needs to be evolved at night,
According to the report, Niantic added "friendship" to the game in its latest update. To test, Pokemon Go Hub placed 23 different Eevees through different variables in determining whether Eevee would evolve into either choice form.
Walking with Eevee for 10km as a buddy, but not set as such during evolution produced Flareons, Jolteons and Vaporeons. The same result was garnered when it lacked collecting two candies prior to evolution.
The group determined therefore that Niantic did transfer the "Friendship" aspect when evolving Eevee in "Pokemon Go." Accordingly, the random results they got negate the notion that it would be impossible.
Meanwhile, it has been determined by Niantic that there was a slight problem plaguing the release of "Pokemon Go" Gen 2. However, the problem was solved with a new update. The benefit is that capturing Togetic is now much easier.
Previously, Togetic was almost impossible to catch with only 1 percent capture rate. With that rate, no matter what type of ball or berry players use, it always manages to escape wasting precious supplies.
The new update increases Togetic capture rate to 5 percent while retaining its escape rate. The difference is that it is now easier to catch by using berries and Ultra Balls.
Though it may take a long time, walking and plenty of candy, evolving Togepi to Togetic is still the easiest route to get one. Not only is Togetic a Gen 2 rarity, reports also indicate that Evolution items are also hard to come by, Express reported.
Players are hoping Niantic, in the next few weeks, iron out the few kinks the game still has.
