Sony Xperia X Gets Whopping Rs 14,000 Price Cut, Handset Now Available For Rs 24,990
ByThe Sony Xperia X is still pricey according to consumers even after two massive price cuts. In September, Sony announced a whopping Rs 10,000 markdown while a bigger Rs 14,000 rebate came in this month.
In total, the Sony Xperia X already received Rs 24,000 deductions since it debuted last May 2016. Back then, the Xperia X launched for Rs 48,990. Today, it is available for Rs 24,990 only.
Full Specs of the Sony Xperia X
According to The Mobile Indian, Sony Xperia X features a decent 5" Tri-luminous HD screen display. It thrives with a 2620 mAh battery and runs 3GB of RAM. Sony unveiled the handset in Graphite Black, Lime Gold, Rose Gold, and White variants.
The Sony Xperia X, which sorts Dual Sim capacity, also boasts a 64GB memory storage that is upgradeable to 200 GB. Nevertheless, the strength of the Xperia X is its 23MP rear camera with Predictive Hybrid AF, Quick Launch, and 24mm wide-angle G lens. In the same manner, Sony installed a 13Mp selfie cam with F2.0 aperture.
In terms of connectivity, Sony Xperia X runs 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and is Wi-Fi ready. It was built with Qnovo Adaptive Charging, DNC Support system, Remote Play, and Google Cast among others. For the software, the Xperia X is driven by Android Marshmallow. It measures 143mm x 69mm x 7.7mm.
Sony Xperia X alternatives
Unfortunately, Sony Xperia X is still very costly compared to other smartphones ran by Snapdragon 650 processor. For one thing, BGR reported that Lenovo offers Z2 Plus with Snapdragon 820 for Rs 14,999 only. Moreover, the flagship OnePlus 3 retails at Rs 27,999. For the record, the price of the Xperia X is already equivalent to Huawei's Honor 8 with DSLR-like cameras.
In a more affordable list, Xiaomi phones appear to be the strongest competition of the Sony Xperia X in terms of price. The Redmi Note 3 with Snapdragon 650 sells for a surprising Rs 11,999. Now, the Redmi Note 4 is quite steeper (but still reasonable) at Rs 12,999. The latter runs a Snapdragon 625.
With all these competitions, the Sony Xperia X is hard to recommend. Although it is really qualified as a flagship phone, the market shows a lot of better choices. Meanwhile, per The Mobile Indian, Flipkart is offering an extra five percent off on Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card holders.
