The Sony PlayStation donned its classic birthday suit courtesy of Colorware. The PS4 Pro Retro Edition has been decked with the same colors and of the original PlayStaton.

Sony made a batch of their own original PS4s styled after the originals for the 20th anniversary of the PlayStation. However, it came out with just a color change to the original and 12,300 was produced to match the number sold on the day of the PS1 launch.

The PS4 Retro Edition is a limited edition console. Reportedly, only 25 units were made and each model is numbered making it a valued collector's item. All parts of the machine, including camera, controller, camera down to the cables get a coating of gray, Geeky Gadgets reported.

The original PlayStation aesthetic offers more than just a splash of retro color. The two USB ports on the PS4 Pro are labeled 1 and 2, mirroring the control ports of the original PS1. Its trademarks, 'Sony' and 'PS4' are sprinkled in green and blue to match the power and open buttons on the PS1.

The PS4 Pro was released last November that features performance enhancement including 4K support for its visuals, its more powerful innards make it perform increased frame rate, High Dynamic Range (HDR) and many more features and priced at $399.99, the same price the original was priced according to PlayStation Universe.

Sony was able to ship 57 million units of PS4 worldwide since its launch. A recent update to the PS4 Pro included a feature called PS4 Pro boost mode. It improves the performance for games that has yet to receive a patch for the powerful system.

For those who have not picked up a PS4 yet, there is a reduction on major game bundles until February 25. Games like Uncharted 4 and Call of duty are part of the said bundle.
