HTC U Play And HTC U Ultra CONFIRMED Start Shipping In Asia This Week, Parts Of Europe In March [VIDEO]
ByThe mobile phone network company HTC unleashed the HTC U Ultra and the HTC U Play in Taiwan on Jan. 12. Now, HTC's president of global sales confirmed that the Taiwanese tech giant is gearing up to do a market expansion for the handsets in Europe and Asia.
The HTC U Play and HTC U Ultra, HTC's new flagship smartphones, will shortly hit shelves across the globe, after HTC's president of global sales Chia-Lin Chang announced the global launch of HTC's U series. According to CNET, HTC will start shipping the HTC U Play and HTC U Ultra in Asia this week, and the devices will hit parts of Europe in March.
Nonetheless, the HTC U Ultra comes along with a 5.7-inch QHD display (2560 X 1440 screen resolution), while the the HTC U Play has a 1080p screen. The secondary display of the HTC U Ultra sports a 2.0-inch dimension (160 X 1040 pixel resolution). The U Ultra boasts a 4GB of RAM and provides two expandable storage options, a 64GB and 128GB of internal memory.
The HTC U Ultra and the HTC U Play come with a sonar-based audio system, dubbed as the U-Sonic, which is claimed to offer true sound. Both the HTC U Ultra and the U Play smartphones come without a 3.5mm audio jack and have a single USB Type-C out for charging, high-res audio and data syncing, India Today reported.
The HTC U Ultra is powered by a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 chipset, while the HTC U Play is packed with a MediaTek Helio P10 processor. The HTC U Ultra runs on Android Nougat and coupled with a 3,000mAh battery. On the other hand, the HTC U Play runs on Android Marshmallow. Furthermore, the HTC U Ultra and the HTC U Play both feature built-in Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS.
