As Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is a clear opponent for the iPad Pro 2, the battle of the devices would change the usual Microsoft against Apple match.
In terms of processors, the Surface Pro 5 is expected to roll out with the Intel Kaby Lake processor, according to PC Advisor. The Kaby Lake chipset is Intel's most anticipated processor and guaranteed to be the fastest processor manufactured by the tech company. While the iPad Pro 2 would come along with the A10X processor, which would make the device 80 percent capable and solid than other tablets.
For the capacity of the devices, the Microsoft Pro 5 would likely start with 8GB of RAM, considering the device would run on Intel's Kaby Lake processor. On the other hand, Apple iPad Pro 2 will be launched with a 4GB of RAM. For the operating system, the iPad Pro 2 will run on iOS 10, and the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have the Redstone OS.
The price of the Surface Pro 5 will start at $899, and the price will rise to $999 if it's an Intel Core i7 variant. The i7 Extreme version of the Microsoft Pro 5 will be available for $1,599. The price of the iPad Pro 2 varies with its capacity, the 32GB will cost $799, $949 for the 128GB and the 256GB model will be available for $1099.
Furthermore, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is speculated to feature the Surface Pen. The iPad Pro 2 rolls out with the Apple Pencil, which will be used for email, browsing and messaging, Mac World reported.
The iPad Pro 2 is expected to launch in March 2017, while the release date of the Surface Pro 5 is said to be in spring 2017.
