Huawei To Dominate MWC 2017; Huawei P10 Gets An Exciting Selfie Camera, Huawei Watch 2 Goes Sporty [VIDEO]
ByHuawei is set to dominate the Mobile World Congress 2017 starting with a recently released teaser video of the Huawei P10 with a front-facing camera to excite selfie lovers. A teaser image appearing on Weibo also hints of a sporty Huawei Watch 2, veering away from its predecessor's classic look.
Huawei has set all its eyes on MWC 2017 in Barcelona on Feb. 26. Weeks ahead of the main event, its top executives have been giving a few details on what is next for the Chinese behemoth. Naturally, Huawei is poised to dominate the international market and its flagship device could very well make it happen.
The Huawei P10 specs and pricing have been previously reported, but now a teaser video from the company itself confirms its arrival. The video starts with a white background and with an image of two eyes divided with several bars. The tag line says "Change the world sees you," which is a reversal of P9's tagline last year that says "Change how you see the world."
The two eyes hints of a dual-camera setup, but the tagline confirms an exciting new feature. It could only mean that the same dual-lens treatment will be given to the front-facing camera, GSM Arena reported. This makes the Huawei P10 the ultimate selfie device.
Combined with an impeccable design, powerful specs, and affordable pricing, Huawei's flagship device is tipped to dominate the mobile market. The P10 has a 5.5-inch display and Huawei's own Kirin 960 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory. It also features the Quad HD resolution with 2560x1440ppi. Its prices range from $510 for the P10 with 4GB of RAM, 32GB built-in memory to $725 for the P10 Plus with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of memory.
Also set to arrive in MWC 2017 is the Huawei Watch 2, which may garner more interest from US consumers or for fans of Android Wear. A teaser image has been posted on Weibo showing a man looking at a smartwatch doing a pose typical of a Nike ad. This confirms previous reports that the newest iteration of Huawei Watch will focus on athletics and fitness. The first iteration had a more classic look according to Droid-Life.
