Many rumors and speculations are lingering the Internet regarding the highly-anticipated Microsoft Surface Phone.

There's even a site that erroneously claimed that an official Microsoft page alludes to the surface Phone. However, clicking on the link will just take viewers to the regular Microsoft Surface Pro page that makes no mention of the tech giant's rumored upcoming phone model.

Be advised that there are currently NO CONFIRMED NOR OFFICIAL INFORMATION pertaining to anything about the Microsoft Surface Phone.

In a speculative article, Market Exclusive says that the tech giant's CEO Satya Nadella told the company's shareholders in a November meeting that Microsoft has not abandoned its intentions to enter the mobile phone industry.

It adds that the Surface Phone, if ever it is released by late 2017, is expected to carry anywhere between a $699 to a $1100 price tag. It also mentioned the devices rumored specs, which includes: ClearBlack AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU, 6GB RAM, 20MP main camera with Carl Zeiss lens, 8MP secondary camera, fingerprint reader, 3.5mm audio jack, Type-C USB port and Win32 app support.

Meanwhile, another speculative article published by Tech Times delves a little bit deeper as far as the rumored specs are concerned. The Surface Phone, it said, will come with a 3000MAH battery and Windows Mobile Redstone 3.

It also talked about two variants of the phone - a consumer variant and an enterprise version. According to them, this apparently makes a difference since the consumer phone has 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage while the enterprise version has 8GB RAM with 128GB storage space. It also cited the possibility of the phone carrying Intel's 14nm Kaby Lake CPU instead of the Snapdragon.

It would be interesting to see how Microsoft's new attempt at getting into the smartphone market will fare, with Android having a stranglehold on the low- to mid-range market.
