Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Specs, Rumors: Latest Render Reveals Single Camera Setup, S Pen Stylus, Keyboard
ByCustomers of Samsung's smartphone series might probably get a glimpse of the highly-anticipated S8 flagship in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 this February. However, another flagship device is expected to make its unveiling in the trade show under the Galaxy Tab series. In its latest renders, the Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to feature a single camera module at the back, while accessories like the S pen and keyboard might make it to the tablet.
Samsung is due to launch its next-generation flagship Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab S3, at the MWC event. With just weeks away from the event, information on the tablet's key specs and design were revealed, which is suggested to move towards family use and cost effectiveness rather than high-end hardware.
Based on the sketch provided by Samsung to the regulatory commission FCC, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S3 will employ a single camera module with the flash. Both the drawing and the render show a seemingly flat design in the front and back panels of the tablet. The company's logo is evident on the back portion while the necessary technical information sits at the bottom.
There are also speculations raised on the Galaxy Tab S3's accessories, which may include the S Pen and a keyboard folio. According to Sam Mobile, reports have surfaced online regarding Samsung's plans on releasing accessories for the Galaxy Tab S3.
The Galaxy Tab S3's S Pen stylus will be Wacom-powered, which will rival Apple's iPad Pro tablet. Ubergizmo reported that the S Pen stylus may be released as a bundle with the tablet, although no special slot for the accessory is found on the Galaxy Tab S3.
On another note, the keyboard folio may take the form of a cover for the tablet, which will help increase productivity with the device.
In terms of its chassis, the latest rumored specs of the Galaxy Tab S3 mentions a 9.6-inch AMOLED screen with a 2048 x 1536 resolution, encased in a 4:3 aspect ratio. The tablet features last year's Snapdragon 820 chipset containing a quad-core CPU, coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. A 4GB of RAM works inside the tablet alongside a 32GB/128GB of internal memory. Other features on the tablet suggest a Type-C USB port, while the camera sensors sport a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera. On the software front, an Android 7.1 Nougat comes pre-installed.
The final look of the Galaxy Tab S3's specs and design will formally be announced on Feb. 26.
