Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KalmX Has A Distinctive Take On Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU [VIDEO]
ByThe Taiwanese-based graphic card company, Palit, has now come out with the new Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KalmX GPU. Palit's new graphic card has a unique take on Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU. The Palit GPU comes along with a distinctive cooling solution that uses no fans or liquids.
According to Palit's official website, the new Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KalmX has a passive cooling system that utilizes a huge aluminum heat sink along with a large heat pipe that has no moving parts. Nonetheless, the heat sinks of the Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KalmX do require a large height clearance, which means if a person will purchase the GPU, the person would have to first check their CPU casings if it can support larger size. Wherein, the GTX 1050 Ti KalmX is technically a dual-width card with two slots.
To squeeze out performance from the reference cards, most of the AIC partners have two or three fan setups. Nevertheless, Palit's approach doesn't allow them to modify the GPU frequencies beyond Nvidia's recommendations. Therefore, the Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KalmX runs on at the reference frequencies of the Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti at 1290 MHz and boosted at 1392 MHz.
The Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KalmX comes with 4GB of video memory which is clocked at 3500MHz. The connectors on the graphics card include a DVI-D, DisplayPort and an HDMI. As of the moment, there's no information regarding the price of the new Palit GTX 1050 Ti KalmX, or which markets the card will drop, AnandTech reported.
Furthermore, due to the lack of fans of the Palit GTX 1050 Ti KalmX, the graphics card is also a power saver as it only needs just 75 W of power. Which means the graphics card cancels the need for an additional power connector.
