Just an hour before the South Carolina Gamecocks' flight was set to take off for Florida, Jadeveon Clowney was ticketed for speeding at least 25 mph over the speed limit, again.

According to the Associated Press, Clowney was stopped Thursday at 10:30 a.m. for going 84 mph in a 55-mph-zone on Interstate 26 near Interstate 126. The traffic stop was about five miles from the University South Carolina's campus and just before the Gamecocks were set to travel to Florida for the Capitol One Bowl.

"He needs to go to driving school, doesn't he? Somebody told me he got another speeding ticket today," Gamecocks head coach Steve Spurrier said in a press conference after the team landed in Orlando. "At least he'll have enough money to pay for it a week or so from now. He needs to go to driving school. Hopefully they'll send him there after the bowl game."

The ticket is the second in three weeks for Clowney, who was pulled over for driving 110 mph in a 70-mph-zone on Dec. 7. In South Carolina, pleading guilty to driving at least 25 mph over the speed limit can result in six points added to one's driver's license. At 12 points, the license may be suspended.

Police inspector Jim Crawford told the State that the officer who pulled Clowney over Thursday said the football player was courteous and did not complain. The officer also did not fully recognize Clowney by his name, but said it was familiar.

Clowney was reportedly written up for a $445 ticket Thursday, adding to a $355 ticket he received earlier in the month. In some cases, points and fines can be reduced, but if given the maximum punishment, Clowney will have his license suspended.

"Sometimes, they knock the points down, and sometimes they knock the fine down, and sometimes they don't do either." S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles spokeswoman Beth Parks told the State. "Of course, we want Clowney to go fast on the field, but people need to follow the rules of the road when they are driving."
