Kansas vs Georgetown LIVE Radio Broadcast: Jayhawks Try to Get Back on Track Against Hoyas
ByThe Kansas Jayhawks (18) will look to get back on track as they host Georgetown Saturday, as the Hoyas, who lead the Big East, are trying to regain consistency.
The Jayhawks are 6-1 this year as the home team, but have not played in their home court in nearly a month. Their rigorous schedule has included tournaments in Chicago and the Bahamas, but Kansas' next few games can help them climb the rankings.

Andrew Wiggins, a highly touted freshman forward, and the Jayhawks are 7-3, but have yet to play a Big 12 opponent. Jayhawks coach Bill Self admitted his fault in the tiring schedule, especially for the three freshman starters, Wiggins, Wayne Selden and Joel Embiid.
Self and the Jayhawks hope last week's 80-63 win against New Mexico is the start of a winning streak, as Perry Ellis scored 21 points and brought in nine rebounds.
"Our bigs were really good," Self told reporters. "Perry was the most consistent one and he scored the most points, but there was a stretch in the second half where Joel looked pretty good."
Georgetown has experienced similar team troubles, including opening their season in South Korea and spending four days in Puerto Rico. Since losing to Northeastern in Puerto Rico, a loss that caused coach John Thompson III to bar his players from speaking to the media, the Hoyas are 6-0.
"In general, we have to play much smarter than we did," Thompson told reporters. "We made several key mental mistakes that on a different night can cost you a game. Hopefully we won't make the same mental mistakes that I alluded to and hopefully we do a better job of helping each other to stop what is coming (against Kansas)."
Wiggins famously said he believed he would the first overall NBA Draft pick following his freshman year, but his stats have been underwhelming thus far. He is scoring 15.9 points per game, compared to fellow freshman, Duke's Jabari Parker, who is averaging 22. Wiggins is also struggling with shot efficiency, posting a .481 field goal percentage.
