PlayStation Latest News: Higher PS4 Sales Than Before; Sony Revealed PlayStation Plus February 2017 Games For PS4, PS3 And PS Vita [VIDEO]
BySince Sony launched the PlayStation 4 in November 2013, the tech giant just had the best fiscal quarter in the history of the gaming console. The PlayStation 4 now has a higher revenue and sales of consoles.
During the third quarter of 2016, Sony shipped about 9.7 million PS4 consoles around the world. The PS4 sales in the quarter were up by 15.5 percent over the 8.4 million consoles sold during the same period in 2015, according to Polygon.
Although, the sales of PS4 were up in the third quarter of 2016, Sony reported a 14.3 percent year-over-year drop in hardware revenue to $2.41 billion. Tech Analyst Daniel Ahmad hit on his Twitter account and stated that even though Sony shipped an additional 1.3m units compared from last year, the revenue of the PS4 consoles was down.
On the other hand, the subscribers of PlayStation Plus are in for a treat this month. Sony revealed the PlayStation Plus February 2017 free games and the PS Plus February 2017 lineup is packed with big game titles in the gaming universe, Express reported.
The PlayStation Plus February 2017 free game lineup includes "LittleBigPlanet 3" and "Not a Hero" for PS4, the "Ninja Senki DX" and TorqueL is available for PS Vita and cross buy with the PS4. Meanwhile, the "Anna: Extended Edition" is for PS3 and Starwhal is for PS3, cross buy with PlayStation 4.
Nevertheless, a PlayStation Plus subscriber can start downloading the February 2017 free games starting Feb. 7. Meanwhile, the free games for Playstation Plus January 2017 is about to be terminated, it is recommended to grab a copy of the video games before it will be sent back to its original prices.
