Gaming fans already knew that video game developer Square Enix added the new cut-scenes as well as overhauling Chapter 13 for the "Final Fantasy XV." Now, game director Hajime Tabata made it known that the video game company is adding a car's free-drive mode. The FFXV update for Chapter 13 launches on March 28.

During an Active Time Report live stream, the video game company detailed some of "Final Fantasy XV's" upcoming updates and downloadable content (DLC). The updates and DLC include a Feb. 21 patch that will raise the level cap, boost the game's frame rate and resolution on PS4 Pro, and add limited time hunts. While the March 28 patch will improve Chapter 13 alongside the DLC for Episode Gladiolus, and an off-roading for the Regalia, according to Gematsu.

Nonetheless, fans and critics of "Final Fantasy XV" video game complained about Chapter 13 when the open world action role-playing game was released in November. The chapter shifts the format of the video game significantly. The open-world aspect of the game goes down the drain and replaced with a much more linear approach.

In spite of that, a number of player concern still addresses the Chapter 13 updates. Tabata stated that the development team made a deliberate decision regarding the direction of chapter 13's content.

Nevertheless, director Hajime Tabata claims that the March 28 update will be the first to focus on improving the gameplay of "Final Fantasy XV." Although another update to improve Chapter 13's narrative is slated to follow, the update will be delayed due to requirements, such as recording new dialogue for the characters, Digital Trends reported.

That being said, the DLC getting alongside the Chapter 13 update is dubbed as Episode Gladio. The Episode Gladio allows players for the first time to control the FFXV tank. Wherein, this could technically launch an entirely different playstyle to Noctis as well as his warp-strikes.
