In the past few months, there were leaks of Galaxy Tab S3 that highlight its performance and what's on board.
A recently-leaked benchmark shows the powerful Galaxy Tab S3 with specs almost similar to fast performer, Galaxy S7. This means that it will have an on par performance with Samsung's premium smartphone.
For instance, the tablet will feature Snapdragon 820 and 4 gigs of RAM. WccFtech added that the device will have a 9.6-inch display and 32 GB of native storage.
While everything remains to be confirmed, the benchmarked specs are much better than what's underneath Google Pixel C. To put into perspective, Google launched its tablet in 2015 and it's shipped with 3 GB of RAM packed under 10.2-inch display.
The Pixel tablet uses Nvidia Tegra X1 which is often benchmarked against Snapdragon 820. Last year's test result showed how Qualcomm's chipset performs impressively better than Nvidia's Tegra, Slashgear reported.
Furthermore, there are also speculations pointing at a fierce competition between the Tab and Google upcoming Nexus 7 - which reportedly get almost similar hardware setups to S3 tablet. Aside from the AMOLED display, both will pack Nougat OS out of the box but Nexus 7 could have a smaller battery capacity.
Previously, Sammobile exclusively reported that Tab S3 will arrive in two models, WiFi and LTE with possible launch date in the first quarter of this year. This corroborates the recent update that said Samsung will unveil the tablet at MWC 2017.
There are rumors circulating through the web that Samsung could equip its iPad rival with 8 MP and 2 MP camera units and a massive 5,870 mAh battery capacity with rapid charging feature. A fingerprint scanner is expected to be seen mounting at the front panel and Samsung could also ditch Micro USB port in favor of USB type C.
