It's been a while since Google unleashed the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the Pixel smartphone. Now, the tech company is gearing up to release the next Android 7.1.2 Nougat, as the search giant is already rolling out an Android 7.1.1 Nougat public beta.

The new Android 7.1.1 Nougat software version is on the way and will be up for grabs sometime in the near future. Google claimed that the update is a maintenance release that will come along with a number of changes focused on refinements, which include optimizations, bug fixes, as well as a handful of carrier specific fixes, according to Android Developers Blog.

The search giant is no stranger to releasing their software early for a selected device, which usually goes to their line of Nexus phones and tablets. Google is starting to push out the Android 7.1.1 Nougat public beta for Google device users who are enrolled in the Android Beta Program.

The Android 7.1.1 Nougat public beta is now available for the owners of the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C tablet, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, as well as the Nexus Player. While the builds for all of the listed devices has been made available, the build for the Nexus 6P Android smartphone should be up for grabs soon.

Nonetheless, if a person is not enrolled in the Android Beta Program yet, that person can visit g.co/androidbeta and simply follow the instructions. Once a person has become the member of the program, an over-the-air programming (OTA) update will hit their device, MobiPicker reported.

The Android 7.1.2 Nougat public beta can also be displayed manually on the eligible Google devices. Nevertheless, if the Google device users are inexperienced, it is highly recommended to wait for a couple of days and an OTA update will roll out to their device.
