[Exclusive] 'Logan' Spoilers Straight From The Director’s Mouth; Weary Wolverine Will Dominate The Big Screen
ByTrailers for the new Wolverine movie “Logan” have been making its rounds in the internet, and it’s clear that it will bring something fresh in the table. Director James Mangold talks about what to expect in this unique superhero movie and other major spoilers. Moreover, new "Logan" poster makes the protagonist look worn out but very dangerous.
Major Movie Details Straight From jJames Mangold
The new “Logan” movie will be R-rated, brave enough to follow “Deadpool” and “Game of Thrones,” which despite their grittiness and adult contents are still giant hits, Digital Spy reported. Mangold said that the title, “Logan,” suggests that it will move away from the typical feel of the Wolverine and X-Men franchise. Meanwhile, the presence of 11-year-old Laura, played by Dafne Keen, will be important in bringing out a different kind of Wolverine to the audiences.
According to Mangold, the new “Logan” movie will veer away from the cliché and bloated end-of-the world threats that usual superhero movies are. This could mean that the movie might not take place in the same universe as the X-Men franchise, which is made obvious by the comic book scene in the trailer. The movie will be gritty and realistic to the point that it tackles some of the current issues in America and the world, especially with the persecution of mutants and the Mexican boarder hide out of the protagonists reflecting the current Donald Trump administration.
How Weary Logan Will Win In His Final Movie
Hugh Jackman will play a more human and worn out Logan in this new film. Wolverine and Professor X will be older in this movie and Professor X will bring something emotional to the fans. Imagine the strongest mind in the world suffering Alzheimer’s disease.
Laura is the alter ego of X-23, which in the comics is Logan’s clone daughter. She will bring out a more human and paternal Wolverine, Slash Film reported. Besides protecting Professor X, Logan will be facing something more intense in the film, and that’s standing up as a father to Laura. If this formula works, it will create a precedence of bolder superhero movies that don’t only cater to children by playing it safe.
