"Tomb Raider" Movie: production has commenced
According to Forbes, "Tomb Raider" Movie director Roar Uthaug made the official statement on his Instagram account about the good news. Uthaug posted a picture of the clapperboard for the movie with "And we're off #tombraider" captioning it.
Moreover, many fans are excited about "Tomb Raider" Movie, since various video game based movies don't do well in the box office - one example could be "Assassin's Creed". One thing to note is that "Tomb Raider" has a more simple plot, compared to that of "Assassin's Creed". Not to mention the fact that Lara Croft is a more well-known character that more people recognize.
"Tomb Raider" Movie: cast member updates
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Dominic West has been recently added to the cast to play Lara Croft's father, Lord Richard Croft. The "Tomb Raider" Movie is the third film adaptation of the long-running video game series, wherein the first installments starred Angelina Jolie and real-life father, Jon Voight. No details are available about the reboot and how Lara and her father's relationship will be portrayed. In the video games, Richard Croft is seen mainly in flashbacks, journals, and voice memos uncovered by his daughter.
Other cast members that were previously announced included Daniel Wu and Walton Goggins.

The "Tomb Raider" Movie comes out on March 16, 2018. The reboot is coming from MGM and GK Films, directed by Norwegian director Roar Uthaug, with the movie as his first Hollywood film.
