One Piece has taken a break this week, which meant that there was no manga release last Jan. 23, 2017. The next publication of "One Piece" will come out on January 30.

According to One Piece Podcast, the manga series is taking regular breaks every few weeks during the last year, citing reasons that Eiichiro Oda, series creator be given a chance to rest. According to reports, the creator sleeps between 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. and sometimes skips sleeping for several days while working on the manga tirelessly.

Speculations about the upcoming "One Piece" Chapter 853 suggest that Luffy will finally reach Sanji, and together they will concoct a plan to defeat Pudding. Luffy would search the Whole Cake Chateau to that he might be able to stop him from marrying Pudding.

With Luffy, Sanji's team would be empowered to defeat to Big Mom clan. Though speculations abound that in the process, though still sketchy, Luffy might be presented with a choice to kill Pudding. It is but normal for well-followed manga and animé, that delays of coming out with the latest chapter heighten the interest of fans, the same is true for "One Piece."

Meanwhile, fans saw the loss of Portgas D. Ace, Luffy's adopted brother in the last chapter. He sacrificed his life in order to save Luffy from peril. Shonen Jump has announced that in commemoration of "One Piece's" 20th year anniversary, they plan to develop a magazine focused on Ace, Comicbook reported.

This bit of news about Portgas D. Ace also known in the "One Piece" series as Fire Fist, made fans frantic, said the report. Nothing is concrete yet nor what the spin-off story will be about, however, fans speculate need the approval of Eiichiro Oda to officially add the proposed spin-off to "One Piece's" extensive list of canon content.
