The Magicians Season 2 recently concluded its much-awaited premiere at Syfy and fans were already excited for the next episode. The episode picked up where Season 1 left off with the students fighting the Beast and Penny losing his hands in the battle.

According to Yahoo, the premiere of The Magicians Season 2 also included one of the best scenes of the young TV series so far: The beach coronation ceremony. The writers of the series really impressed in more ways than one when the magicians had to earn their crowns by going through a game of pop culture trivia. Eliot even took Alice by the hand to bring back memories of Patrick Swayze's line in Dirty Dancing by proclaiming he always does the lance dance of the season.

The Magicians Season 2 began in a big way with Quentin running for help after the bloody war with the beast. Jason Ralph describe the opening scene as ironic because Quentin is basically is in the same position as the audience since the both don't know what happened to the rest of the magicians. Unfortunately for him, the only help that arrives is a strange looking Fillory lady who tells him to be careful of strangers because they are never who or what they seem to be, Business Insider reported.

The critically acclaimed drama stars Jason Ralph as Quentin, Stella Maeve as Julia Wicker, Olivia Taylor Dudley as Alice Quinn, Hale Appleman as Eliot Waugh, Summer Bishil as Margo Hason and Rick Worthy as Dean Frogg. The entire season of The Magicians Season 2 was shot in Vancouver, Canada.

The Magicians tells the story of a group of magicians who find out that their confidential course at Brakebills College is not a piece of cake as they are entangled in several dangerous missions. Check out the high-definition trailer of The Magicians Season 2:
