Verizon International Minutes Add-on

Skype, Duo and Hangouts make communications more conveniently and more efficiently because these applications save the people's pocket from expensive international call and text fees. However, if someone has to communicate through an old mobile phone, Verizon has the solution for it through their latest offerings for international calls.

The carrier is reportedly offering an Unlimited Together plan which costs $15 and allows the users to use unlimited minutes for landline calls to 70 countries and mobile calls to 40 countries. According to Phandroid, aside from the unlimited minute offerings, Verizon has also given discounted rates on the call and text plans from 160 countries.

In the company's press release, Rob Miller, the Vice President for Marketing at Verizon emphasized that distance should not be a hindrance between family and friends. He also added that the company's goal for coming up with Unlimited Together Plan is to connect families and loved ones anytime they want wherever they are in the world in an affordable price, Android Central reported.

Verizon Suffers MidLife Crisis

Verizon Wireless is reportedly suffering from a peaking midlife crisis which is evident from their disappointing earnings as announced. According to Fortune, the intensifying competition from the wireless market is said to be the culprit of the company's low revenue growth not to mention its fierce rivals T-Mobile and AT&T which are slowly invading the market with their latest offerings and innovative products.

Furthermore, due to the high pricings set by the company, customers switching to other carriers are reportedly higher for the past quarter and this is because of the unlimited data offers. However, when Verizon is asked if they are going to introduce unlimited data plans in the future, the company is firm in saying that it's not something they feel they need to do.
