Bethesda's action fantasy sequel "The Elder Scrolls 6" is probably one of the most highly anticipated titles today, and even Bethesda has already confirmed that "TES 6" has not yet entered active development stage.
Bethesda Will Need More Time, 2017 Release Date Not Likely
The first sign of the works on "The Elder Scrolls 6" confirmation was made in early 2016, and then 2017 has arrived, still no sign of release date.Bethesda boss Todd Howard first announced at E3 2016 that the game developer is working on the sequel "The Elder Scrolls 6."
Weeks later after that big announcement, Bethesda's VP and head of PR, Pete Hines, contradicted Todd Howard's statement, saying the studio is not currently working on another Elder Scrolls game.
Until now, there still no clear explanation about Hines' statement, but some suspected that Hines was just playing it cool, trying to build some buzz around the game.
Based on the company's track record and game history, it takes around four to six years to develop and release a new Elder Scrolls installment.
By taking a close analysis of the studio's game release history, more importantly, the last Elder Scrolls game which arrived in 2011, one might come out with a good guess- 2018 could be the right spot for "The Elder Scrolls 6" release date.
Again, this is only based on someone's "math analysis" of the studio's game development and not the real game development process. So expect no accurate figures for the game's release date.
Currently, the studio has only two very precious game franchises, the "Fallout" and "The Elder Scrolls" series. Hence, not working on "Fallout 4" might think that the studio's attention maybe on another game project, perhaps on "The Elder Scrolls 6."
Bethesda Still Hard On Work On Fallout 4, VR Might Push Back Release Date
Virtual Reality (VR) is gaining too much buzz these days, slowly dominating the gaming industry. Bethesda is not going to miss the latest gaming trend and quickly joined the VR party craze. In fact, Bethesda is planning to launch "Fallout 4" in full VR but this might be delayed due to some technical issues.
According to The Verge, Bethesda still committed to bringing the VR technology to "Fallout." As the virtual reality technology is the latest trend in gaming, Bethesda wants to be on the forefront of the latest gaming trend so it is enthusiastic in releasing the "Fallout 4" on VR tech.
Neurogadget reported earlier that the role-playing game was supposed to be released on 2016, But instead Bethesda released the Skyrim Special Edition, a remastered version of the game.
In addition to the VR works, rumors are also swirling around the gaming circle that Bethesda has a bigger master plan for "The Elder Scrolls." However, the technology required still not available.
