After a long wait, Pokemon Bank is finally available for the "Pokemon Sun and Moon." Instead of just a patch, Pokemon Trainers will have to download the app again. Players can now transfer their favorite old Pokemon to Sun and Moon through the Pokemon Bank.

The Pokemon Company announced in September 2016 that the release window of the Pokemon Bank for "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is January 2017, which will be during the addition of a page on the app to the website of "Pokemon Sun and Moon." The Pokemon Bank will be a paid service that provides storage for up to 3,000 Pokemon. It will also offer the ability in moving monsters over from predecessors Omega Ruby X, Y, Alpha Sapphire, as well as the digital releases of Yellow, Blue and Red for the 3DS, according to Game Spot.

Nevertheless, the Pokemon Bank app in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" takes 496 blocks of memory to download, as for the Pokemon Transporter, it will take 420 blocks to download version 1.2. Every Gen 1 Pokemon transferred to the mobile games will have their hidden ability, iDigital Times reported.

It should also be noted that Mews received via the glitch found in the Gen 1 Pokemon games cannot be transferred over. The Pokemon Company has revealed that "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players who will use the Pokemon Bank until Oct. 2 will also receive the special Z-Crystal, Mewnium Z, which only the bipedal Pokemon Mew can use. The company even released a video showcasing Lee using its special Z-Move.

In obtaining the Mewnium Z in "Pokemon Sun and Moon," players must first subscribe to the Pokemon Bank. The one-year subscription fee of Pokemon Bank is $4.99.
