‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ Effective Action Scenes Make Up For Incoherent Storyline; Watch Milla Jovovich’s 3-Minute Recap Here [VIDEO]
By"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" picked up from where "Retribution" left off with effective action scenes that make up for the movie's loophole-ridden storyline. The movie is reportedly fast-paced similar to how Milla Jovovich, who played the main protagonist Alice, recaps the movie in just three minutes as seen in the video below.
"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is the sixth installment of the series that began 15 years ago. The movie began where the previous installment "Retribution" left off.
In "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter," Alice finds herself as the only survivor when the T-Virus outbreak turned the populace into zombies. She takes on a new mission to return to The Hive in Raccoon City to stop the Umbrella Corporation from wiping out all the uninfected survivors.
In Alice's newest adventure, she teams up with old allies in a race against time, accounting for the incredibly fast pace of "The Resident Evil: The Final Chapter." Though the storyline seems simple enough to follow for the beginner, it is riddled with loopholes that make it incoherent according to Slash Film.
In an interview with director Paul W.S. Anderson with Philly.com, he revealed that "The Resident Evil: Final Chapter" is one of his proudest achievements. The movie is the longest running series with a female lead in an industry that shuns female action stars in big-budget films.
Moreover, Anderson revealed that his commitment to the movie was sealed long before R-rated, zombies, and female lead in action movies were in fashion. Filming his wife Jovovich could also be an added incentive.
Though "The Resident Evil: Final Chapter" may not be an awards material, its effective action scenes and great visuals make up for its incoherent storyline. A review in Sun Daily attests that the Sci-Fi movie is able to keep one at the edge of the seat with plenty of action scenes to whet the appetite of those seeking for simple entertainment.
Meanwhile, watch Jovovich's three-minute recap of the "The Resident Evil: Final Chapter" in the video below. The movie hits theaters this week on Jan. 27.
