By now, it's very obvious Superman will appear in "Justice League" but judging on how he sacrificed himself in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," he must come back differently. It may not have been confirmed yet but a crew member of the movie was seen wearing a t-shirt that said' "They've Never Faced Us Before. Not Us United," which could be the official tagline of the movie.
According to Cinema Blend, all signs point to adapting the "The Death and Return of Superman" comics where Superman dies then comes back to life sometime later. A photo was shared on Twitter showing Henry Cavill as in a black Superman costume so there is a possibility this could be the route they are taking for "Justice League."
It would be hard to take this blurred image of Superman seriously since anybody can make an image like that using Adobe Photoshop. However, with updated costumes for both Batman and The Flash for "Justice League," it would be hard to imagine them leaving out an iconic superhero like Superman.
According to Comic Book, a piece of crew clothing had the logo of "Justice League" and the aforementioned tagline. It is possible that this t-shirt was made as a gift for the crew. The quote does seem to put the crew in a positive mood after critics lashed at the last DC movies, "The Suicide Squad" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Many involved in the making of the movie insist that they won't be making the same mistakes they made in those two movies.
Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot, all star in this ensemble movie about Batman recruiting beings with supernatural powers to fight a common enemy. Check out this trailer of Justice League, scheduled to be showing in theaters on Nov. 17:
