The new security update for the Sony Xperia E5 will get a new security update, coming to units in Europe as build number 37.0.A.2.156, GSM Arena reported. According to reports, the secuiryt update will have Android fixes for issues in October last year. There are no exact reports on what other changes will the new security update bring to the Sony Xperia E5.

Meanwhile, just like any other OTA roll outs, there is a chance that it will take a little while before the new security updates arrives to all the Sony Xperia E5 users. Those who can't wait for the security update can check the Setting menu on their handsets to customize it to the security mode they want.

Sony Xperia E5 Specs

The Sony Xperia E5 was released in May 2016, and it sports a 5-inch Touchscreen display with a 720 pixels by 1280 pixels resolution, NDTV reported. The smartphone runs on quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor. It has 1.5GB worth of RAM with an internal storage of 16GB, which can be expanded to as much as 200GB using a miscroSD card.

It has a 13-megapixel rear camera, while Sony Xperia E5's front camera is 5.megapixel. Running on Android 6, the Sony Xperia E5 has 2700mAh battery, which is non removable. It has 144 x 69 x 8.20 dimensions and is 147 grams in weight.

The Sony Xperia E5 only has one slot for the SIM that is compatible for Nano-SIM. Its connectivity features are 4G, 3G, FM, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, and of course, Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, it has the Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer sensor, and Proximity sensor. The Sony Xperia E5 comes in black or white colors.
