The creator of the successful anime film plans to dominate in the North America and so, they partnered with Funimation to make it happen.
The animated film "Your Name" has received much praises since the day it was released in Asia and recently, it even became the highest grossing anime film world. With the help of Funimation, the highly anticipated anime film will be able to reach the different theaters across the U.S.
According to the founder and CEO of the Funimation Entertainment, Gen Fukunaga, they are happy to be part of the film that had captivated the hearts of the audiences and critics. In addition, he said that he always believe that a touching and beautifully created story can mesmerize the mainstream audiences no matter what the film's genre is, Japan Times reported.
The anime film "Your Name" is focused on the story of the two teenagers, Mitsuha and Taki, total strangers who swapped bodies randomly but has built relationship and strong connection as their lives became intertwined. What's interesting is that they do not remember who they originally were every time their bodies are swapped.
Before the swapping process happened, Mitsuha - the highschool girl from Itomori wished to be a handsome boy living in Tokyo. Surprisingly, her wish was granted and after both of them realized what was happening, they started to intervene in each other's lives and started to help each other.
The animated film "Your Name" will reach American theaters with English Dub and while there is an option for the original Japanese language, Funimation prepared an English subtitle. The film will hit the U.S. and Canadian theaters starting Apr. 7, per Forbes. In connection with the American theatrical release of the said anime film, the band RADWIMPS will be the ones creating the English version of the songs.
