Intel is a well-known brand to deliver advanced processors for gaming, and now its place is threatened with the arrival of AMD Ryzen.
AMD latest addition, the Ryzen architecture, is ready to take on Intel Kaby Lake at some points. Forbes reported that during the launch, Ryzen has a considerably impressive hardware set that makes it an eligible contender.
As for Intel, this could be a clear evidence that the Core architecture legacy will be threatened. AMD claims that Ryzen is specifically designed for PC gaming. On the other hand, Intel brings a few more advantages to Kaby Lake including faster performance and power efficient.
However, Intel still uses 14nm process to manufacture the 7th gen Core chip instead of moving to 10nm. This is why tech crowds are skeptical with the slight upgrades.
It's been reported that consumers prefer to wait for Ryzen release to be able to compare both, head to head, before deciding to buy. As of this moment, it is hard to justify the segment of Ryzen due to the lack of price information, Trusted Reviews reported.
AMD Ryzen is worth the wait
The 2017 sees impressive PC build with both processors battling against each other to win the supremacy. AMD CEO Lisa Su noticed that there are a few segments in the market that haven't been served well by the available products. The company seems to be confident in stating how this benefits for the sales growth of its products.
