ByThe "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is one of the featured game title during the official launch of the Nintendo Switch though the game was not initially intended for the Switch as is was originally planned exclusive for Wii U. Check out why Nintendo decided to make the game available to Nintendo Switch.
Back in 2013, the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" was announced that it would only be exclusive to Nintendo Wii U. However, over the years of development, the plan was changed, especially now that Nintendo is discontinuing their support on the Wii U which didn't came as a surprise. The Wii U has been struggling to compete with Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Digital Trends reported. Before the Wii U come to an end, Nintendo continued their plan to make the "Breath of the Wild" be their final game title.
During the interview between Eurogamer and the producer of the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," Eiji Aonuma, the question as to why they finally decided to include the game in the Switch has been answered. According to Aonuma, they had considered the functionality of the Switch where users can carry the console anywhere.
Aonuma also clarified that there will be no difference, so, players are expected to experience the same gameplay on the Switch and on the Nintendo Wii U. The only difference he say is the loading time where the Switch is slightly faster because the game is loaded in the Wii U through a disc while in the Switch, the game is loaded in a game card.
There is more to discover in the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." One example is that users will get to learn what had happened about a hundred years ago, so it's not just all about playing and exploring the world of Zelda.
