Well, it looks like these features mentioned will definitely be avaialble in the future. The SI assistant Samsung Bixby, is expected to be used by all of Samsung's first-party applications, covering Samsung's web browser and PIM software, as well as the previously mentioned Samsung Pay. Bixby vs Siri

Per Trusted Reviews, Bixby seems to be shaping up nicely. Reports are saying that there will be an in-camera button, allowing it to identify individual objects while also processing text seen within the frame. In addition, Bixby will help users find items online and even make purchases; noting that these features are not yet being handled by Siri.

Bixby, a product of Samsung's purchase of Viv Labs, the same makers of Siri, is expected to debut on the Galaxy S8 this spring. Although, don't discount the fact that it could find its way to Samsung's older phones.

Viv's first showcased its technology in 2014, as a succession from closed automated assistants, like Siri and Google Voice Search, wherein its connectivity to third-party services allowed more functions to be performed through the interface. (via Apple Insider)
