The iPhone 8 and Galaxy S8 have not been released yet but it looks like the iPhone 8 will edge the Galaxy S8 in any iPhone 8 vs Galaxy S8 battle due to one major factor - price. The new Samsung flagship phone is set to have a price tag of $849.
According to BGR, $849 is a steep price for a smartphone and Apple is known to maintain its pricing for its smartphones, despite all the improvements they make. When talking about iPhone 8 vs Galaxy S8, price would usually become the deciding factor in the end. In fact, $849 is the same price as the 256GB iPhone 7 and you just have to add $20 to end up with a 128GB iPhone 7 Plus.
When talking about iPhone 8 vs Galaxy S8, there should be a budget set for either phone so setting a big budget for the Galaxy S8 may be too big of a burden to some. Another rumor to consider is that Apple will release 3 iPhone models this year including two iPhone 7 versions and the iPhone 8.
According to Yahoo News, another reason iPhone 8 is the clear choice in any argument about iPhone 8 vs Galaxy S8 is its all-glass front that goes edge to edge. There is no home button as there is a virtual bezel beneath the screen that shows the Touch ID button and a couple more virtual buttons.
The iPhone 8 is the clear winner in the iPhone vs Galaxy S8 conversation due to the fact that it has curved edges even if both the front and back are made of glass. One big surprise for the iPhone 8 is that it may be putting in facial and gesture recognition in the OLED version of the iPhone 8. It is expected to be powered by laser sensor and an infrared sensor located somewhere near the front camera, Forbes reported.
