Most fans and avid gamers alike would agree that some of the most anticipated games that will be released this early of 2017 will be coming from the PlayStation 4. That being said, these same fans are looking forward to the release of "Gravity Rush 2" for the PS4 on the 18th of January. With that in mind, the game's director talks about the future of the franchise and much more through a recent interview conducted by a Japanese video game magazine. Moreover, fans who are considering on grabbing a copy of the game can check out the review done by sources about the revamped progression and combat system of the sequel.

Previously, it was reported that fans were treated with a livestream event for "Gravity Rush 2" that featured some of the game's online features and more, University Herald noted. It was also mentioned therein that an anime adaptation of the franchise will be released, as well, that will seamlessly mesh together the events of the original game to its sequel.

Now that "Gravity Rush 2" is already being released, some of the fans are already wondering on what would be planned next for the acclaimed franchise. That being said, it was recently reported that the game's director, Keiichiro Toyama, went on to discuss with fans their plans for the future, Gematsu learned. It was stated therein that the interview with the director was conducted by renowned Japanese video game magazine "Weekly Famitsu."

In the interview, Toyama told fans of "Gravity Rush 2" that their plans for the series is still a blank slate. Furthermore, the director also said that he has already put his all into the game. As such, making a sequel would require him doing something new for the game, such as a new hardware that would allow him to express new things for the game. Only then would the director want to make another installment for the game.

When asked about their plans for the next title from the developers and the team behind "Gravity Rush 2," the director said that he wants to utilize their skills for a new title, especially since they are in a very good place right now. He also said that, albeit not having a specific title in mind as of date, he won't be steering far away from the action adventure genre.

It was said that the sequel will now feature the protagonist (Kat) with three accessory slots where she can place talismans that gives a variety of effects on the character's attacks.
