Game Publisher Koei Tecmo this week has announced that the free-to-play game "Dead or Alive Last Round: Core Fighters" has already reached 8 million worldwide downloads. The game has been made available across multiple gaming platforms including PS4 and PS3.

For a quick start, "Dead or Alive 5 Last Round" is a fighting game published by Koei Tecmo for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Arcade. The game is the third updated version of the "Dead or Alive 5," following "Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate" and "Dead or Alive 5 Plus."

In celebration of the milestone, the publisher Koei Tecmo is giving away Mila as a free character on PS4 for PlayStation Plus subscribers, and also players in North America and Europe. According to Siliconera, the spirited kickboxer Mila will be free with "Core Fighters" until Feb. 7, 2017.

The free-to-play fighting game has already been launched on gaming consoles and later on Steam. But unlike the original "DOA 5" game, the "Core Fighters" can be updated through downloadable contents for arcade and those who owns the gaming console versions Ultimate update.

Players can start it out with only features the four of Ayane, Hayate, Kasumi, and Ryu Hayabusa as its "core" characters. Players can always get a chance to test the rest of the game and its different modes for free, and even purchase the rest of the characters as downloadable contents.

The actions and excitements won't stop here. According to Push Square, players will finally have a full control on the characters of Virtua Fighter. The special attacks and combos have been upgraded and very exciting to see. In addition, the game developer has also provided numerous setting for players who are picky with the game field.

Currently, there are four modes in the "DOA 5: Core Fighters" game. The Story mode complies specific missions and story mode of a certain character. The second one is Fighting Mode that consists of the arcade, survival, time attack, versus and offline modes. Then, the Online Mode, which said to allow players to fight in a lobby match or ranked match. And finally, the Training Mode, which allows players to train their characters before going to battle.
