‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Update: 'Thor: Ragnarok’ Director Taika Waititi Shares Hilarious Behind-The-Scenes Photo [VIDEO]
By"Thor: Ragnarok" helmer Taika Waititi pitched in his incredible sense of humor, which is not a surprise that his upcoming film for Marvel is going to be filled with the director's signature wit and humor. "Thor: Ragnarok" stars Chris Hemsworth as the titular character.
Director Waititi even showcased some of that humor he'll be incorporating in the forthcoming film in a behind-the-scenes photo by Darryl Jacobsen. The photo, which director Waititi shared on Instagram, showed the titular character Thor deep in thought while surrounded by gourds. Director Waititi then captioned the image heavily with hashtags, according to Comic Book.
Nonetheless, "Thor: Ragnarok" introduces some exciting new characters in the Marvel franchise, such as the villain Hela (portrayed by Cate Blanchett). "Thor: Ragnarok" film will find Thor imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his hammer and the super hero finds himself in a race against time to get back to his homeworld to stop Ragnarok. Ragnarok tends to destroy Thor's homeworld and put an end to Asgardian civilization.
Thor is locked up in the hands of an all-powerful threat, the ruthless Hela. In spite of that, Thor must first survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his fellow Avenger, the Incredible Hulk (played by Mark Ruffalo), Entertainment Weekly reported.
Aside from Hela, other newbies in the "Thor: Ragnarok" film includes Valkyrie (played by Tessa Thompson), Skurge the Executioner (portrayed by Karl Urban) and Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster.
As an added treat for Thor fans, Doctor Strange will come along for the ride. Doctor Strange will team up with Thor and the Hulk as they face off against intergalactic villains both familiar and new, according to Slash Film.
"Thor: Ragnarok" movie is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 3, 2017. Hemsworth will reprise his role as the mighty Thor.
