"World of Warcraft" legacy projects Nostalrius and Elysium were off to a promising partnership two months ago but now the alliance has ended. Nostalrius is calling out Elysium to stop using its source code because it is giving the legacy a bad reputation.

According to PC Gamer, Nostalrius sees only a few of former Nostalrius players have moved to Elysium while "World of Warcraft" fans in general have acquired a great deal of pirates in the official WoW community. Nostalrius has a message saying they demonstrated a true desire for game content and players needing a home. They admit Nostalrius carries the hopes of the legacy community but legacy fans moving from fan server to pirate server hardly have a place in the WoW community so they look to eliminate that.

Nostalrius also asked Elysium to join them in the effort for Legacy realms by ordering them to stop using the data that they provided. They admit they k now Elysium also aims at official Legacy realms like they do in the "World of Warcraft" game.

According to IGN, Elysium responded in a "World of Warcraft" forum and confirmed that the team will no longer continue using the Nostalrius core. They are confident players won't feel any difference in the cores except for a possible increase in the overall quality.

All existing characters in "World of Warcraft" since Elysium launched will still be there and data that is related to Nostalrius will be eliminated. Nostalriums realms will be no longer known as Nostalrius but will now be known as Anathema PvP and Darrowshire PVE. A 30-minute maintenance will occur at 8 PM server time for them to make the necessary changes.
