Android 7 Nougat Deployment to HTC 10 is Halted

HTC 10 handsets have already started receiving Android 7 Nougat update for the first week of January but the deployment has to stop because of the reported unexpected software bugs that caused some conflicts during the download. According to Softpedia News, HTC Germany has posted an announcement in their official Facebook Page regarding the halted deployment of the update and they advised HTC 10 owners to wait until Android 7 Nougat update finds them.

The company has assured that their engineers are working closely as possible to be able to find solution for the unexpected software bugs and to resume the deployment of software to HTC 10 as well. Besides, it not yet cleared whether the halted operation only applies to those owners residing in Germany or does it run across the globe.

Nevertheless, customers are advised to wait a little bit longer. However, should they wish to upgrade their respective HTC 10 handsets, The Android Soul recommends installing a custom ROM to get Android Nougat running on their units unofficially.

HTC is one of the first manufacturer who provides Android Nougat update as fast they could. Through T-Mobile, the company has started the rollout to HTC 10 handsets in the United States with the size of 1.22 GB, according to Phone Arena.
