Disney-Pixar's upcoming 3D computer-animated sequel Cars 3 has released a new trailer that further revealed what the dramatic plot hero Lightning McQueen might face. The extended trailer for the third installment was released to the mainstream on Jan 9.

According to Pixar's own description of the movie, blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racing cars, the legendary Lightning McQueen is suddenly pushed out of the Piston Cup. Rather than give up, Lightning McQueen (which voiced by Owen Wilson) decided to make a comeback. But to get back to the sports he loves, he will need a little help from the eager young race technician named Cruz Ramirez (which voiced by Cristela Alonzo).

The animated adventure star Hollywood actors Owen Wilson, Cristela Alonzo and Armie Hammer as Lightning McQueen's new racing rival and villain.

"Cars 3" is directed by Brian Fee (storyboard artist for "Cars," "Cars 2") and produced by Pixar Animations Studios, and will be released by Walt Disney Pictures.

What The Trailer Shows
According to GameSpot, the 90-second "Cars 3" trailer shows the major character Lightning McQueen struggling to stay relevant. The trailer also shows new rival, Jackson Storm, which voiced by Armie Hammer.

The trailer features Lightning McQueen being outdated and outrace in the race. Fortunately, McQueen will also get an upgrade at the end of the story, thanks to his friend Cruz Ramirez.

Since its released to the mainstream, the "Cars 3" trailer has made around 3M views on YouTube, almost 11000 likes, 5000 shares and 15 million views on Facebook.

Introducing the new rival Jackson Storm
The first full "Cars 3" trailer has already hit the mainstream. The Youtube trailer reveals not only the "Cars 3" plot but also the main villain and Lightning McQueen's main rival-Jackson Storm, a C7 Chevrolet Corvette racing cars.

Jackson Storm, according to Road and Track, is a hot-shot young racer whose top-notch equipment and high-tech features seemingly make McQueen an obsolete racer. The new rival is a part of the next generation of high-tech racers that McQueen will be facing in the race.

The film is the third installment in the Pixar's Cars franchise. The "Cars 3" is scheduled for release on June 16, 2017.
