During the recent TCA event, the cast members of "Bones" questioned about the show, which is more about the possible reunion or if there would ever be a revival in the future. The creator of the show, Hart Hanson also made a shocking revelation about the reason why the show is coming to an end despite its high ratings. Hanson mentioned that the decision isn't mutual and that it was cancelled.
Hanson further clarified that it was Fox's decision to put an end to the "Bones." He said, he fought hard for it and got angry, calling the network all the time to ask for more promos, Deadline reported. During the Season 9, the show was moved but fans still followed through. Until the shocking announcement came out.
Hanson added that they were just told that this year will be the last for them. Emily Deschanel (Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan) also added that it wasn't their decision to wrap up since the show did a good run, The Variety reported. Despite the unexpected cancellation of the show, fans can still expect a satisfying conclusion.
When asked about the possibility of a reunion before they bid goodbye, Deschanel said that she is not yet ready and that they need some time although Hanson said that those things are always possible. As for now, there are no plans for the reunion though it is still early to tell as the works on the Season 12 is underway.
As for the revival, David Boreanaz (Seeley Booth) noted that everything is possible in life and that he would prefer to go forward than to move backward..
