HTC U Play will be the budget-range version of HTC U Ultra and that is reportedly confirmed by the recent HTC leak. A month ago, the HTC Ocean Note made waves as the codename for latest flagship for HTC mobiles and now it is confirmed. The said HTC flagship is not coming alone this Jan. 12 because its mid-ranger sister is also expected to launch today.

HTC U Play trended in Weibo as a new leak pertaining to this phone specs went out. According to the HTC tipster @Upleaks, the model will have 1440 x 2560 resolution and will have the Gorilla Glass 4. The powerful SnapDragon 835 has also been named as the main chipset supported by the octa-core CPU and the Adreno 540 GPU, Phone Arena wrote. The storage will be back-upped by 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of onboard storage.

SnapDragon 835 is not only coming to Samsung and LG handsets but HTC has also got the rights of service for Qualcomm's top-of-the-line processor, GSM Arena added. HTC is surely getting ahead with the introduction of the MSM8998 processor, especially that is expected to be launched today. If reports happen to be true, this will the first time fans and tech lovers will witness the SD835's live performance.According to Android Authority, the model will be 5.7 inches Full HD Display. HTC U Ultra will be having a 12MP U Ultra Pixel with 1.55 Micron pixel which makes it good for low light while 13MP for the back while the front snapper has 16MP for selfies and video chat. HTC has put in a durable 3000mAh battery which is supported by QC3.
