Apple recently released watchOS 3.1.3 beta 2 principally for developers. The second beta comes just after three weeks of releasing watchOS 3.1.3 beta, for testing purposes.
How to download watchOS 3.1.3 beta 2
WatchOS 3.1.3 beta 2 is downloadable via the dedicated Apple Watch on the iPhone. It is as simple as going to the General Settings and choosing Software Update. A word of caution, the Apple Watch must have 50 percent power, preferably placed on its charger, and within close range of the iPhone. In addition, the iPhone must be running iOS 10 or higher for the watchOS 3.1.3 beta 2 to install properly, Neurogadget reported.
According to Phone Arena, no major changes are expected for the watch 3.1.3 beta 2 release aside from the update enhancing some features as well as addressing minor bug issues from the previous beta release. There were reports that watch 3.1.1 was a problematic release, as there were reported cases of Series 2 timepieces were bricked due to the update.
Sadly, bricked Apple Watches due to watchOS 3.1.1 could not be repaired in Apple stores; the company had no option but to pull the update from its servers to prevent much more bricking incidents. Meanwhile, Series 2 Apple Watches were stuck with watchOS 3.1.
Apple Watch Series 3
The Chinese Economic Daily News recently reported that Apple has once again awarded the manufacturing contract of the Apple Watch to Quanta, as detailed in a previous report. Taiwan-based Quanta manufactured all the previous iterations of the Apple Watch.
The Apple Watch Series 3 is not predicted to come with new design profiles, though it is expected that there will be major improvements in performance and battery life. It is also speculated that the Apple Watch Series 3 will be using what Apple called a 'micro-LED' screen that reportedly uses less power to extend the Apple Watch battery for more days in between charges.
The release date for the Apple Watch Series 3 is expected in September 2017 as with previous Apple Watch releases. Apple Watch Series 2, for instance, was released September 7.
