"Final Fantasy XV" has one of the largest explorable worlds in the industry. However, a new YouTube video exposed a bug that shows the rag tag team of boy band going out through the blocked off part of the FFXV world through an Out-of-Bounds (OOB) glitch. With the proper fix, new patches and additional DLC, this glitch could mean FFXV's explorable world could get even bigger.
Bugs and Glitches Big Surprises
The glitch is harmless and completely useless, unless players want to wander around in the dusty sight of the world doing nothing, Slash Gear reported. One of the biggest omitted elements in "Final Fantasy XV" that the usual FF instalments in the franchise have is the open world treatment.
The latest FF game has individual barriers hindering players from wandering off into the open game world parts. One of these walls can be penetrated by one of the characters of the game through the OOB glitch. The view of the open world bug is wonderful, but critics are somehow disappointed that there is a vast unused portion of the game, which could also possibly be taking up too much disk space.
Needs Fixes, Patches, and Free DLC
Everyone knows that this game has been rebooted, delayed, and even renamed, which means it has its fair share of changes. A lot of fans speculate that the open world bug should have been part of the original game before it was given all those changes. There are no official statements yet about the glitch coming from the developers of "Final Fantasy XV," Neurogadget reported.
But there are a lot of speculations circulating that this vast unused piece of land might later be added as downloadable content in the future. Square Enix has already expressed its intentions in the past to put a lot of post-launch in-game support, which may include updates, new patches, and even DLC.
