The mobile devices that officially support Google's Daydream VR, beside its own Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL, are Moto Z, Moto Z Force, ZTE Axon 7 and Asus Zenfone AR. Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Mate 9 Porsche Design will also support Daydream VR with Google planning to bring AR capabilities to more Huawei devices in the future.

There have been rumors that Samsung Galaxy S8 was developed in preparation for Gooole's VR platform, Know Your Mobile reported. This move by Samsung could also mean that OnePlus, HTC, Sony, and other big Android OEMs could be supporting Google's Daydream VR too.

As of now people who want to experience Daydream VR must use DayDream View and they should have a Pixel phone. Meanwhile, Google has not yet recognized ZTE Axon 7 as an official Daydream ready phone, especially because it hasn't been updated with Android 7 Nougat.
Moto Z and Moto Z Force, on the other hand, has recently been updated to Android 7 Nougat. These are the first handsets that gets full support for Google's Daydream View, outside of the tech company's Pixel line.
Huawei's Mate 9 Pro
The head of business and operations at Google's VR/AR team Amit Sinh recently announced during the Huawei keynote speech that the Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Mate Porsche Design will soon confirm its support for the Daydream VR platform, Road to VR reported. According to Singh, developing smartphones that are ready for VR is no easy task, sine there should be partnership that goes to the engineering level. They have to collaborate closely to develop the sensors, display technologies, and the right optics.
